In these few pages we aim to tell you who we are, what we do and how you can get involved!

So read on but remember we have an open door policy so feel free to pop in with questions, problems or just for a chat!

Who we are!

The SU at Harper is ran enteriely by the students for the students.  We are all elected and all serve 12 month term in office.

What we do!

There are 2 main parts to what we do:

• Representation - we have a voice to represent your views in almost every area of the college from the academic board and fornightly meetings with the senior management team to all the wonderful course reps and the IT User group meetings.
• YOUR SOCIAL LIFE!  Given Harper's gorgeous location, despite the many great pubs in Newport as an SU we still reckon we provide about 75-80% of your social life!   From bands and DJs in the main bar, comedians and Balls to trips to Birmingham and of course Block Fixtures, it all happens through us!  Click here to see more of the entertainment we provide.

How to get involved...

It's a Harper mantra that the more you put in, the more you get out... so from joining one or more of the many clubs and societies to becoming a course rep, running your club or society, working for RAG or standing for election onto the SU get involved and make the most of it!

A bit more about Harper...

Harper Adams is set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, 15 minutes from Telford, and just 3 minutes from the town of Newport.

Not far from the M54, the University has fantastic links with surrounding towns and although it lies in the countryside, student nightlife is never more than a short distance away if you want to get off campus.

Newport has a great nightlife, with (very) well frequented pubs and clubs and the Harper Campus has its very own recently refurbished Lounge Bar alongside the Main Bar for our fantastic club nights.

With an estate of over 210 hectares, Harper Adams combines its stunning rural setting with excellent modern facilities and a fantastic Student Union!
With 1,850 students, the Student Union keeps the students entertained and posted on all thats happening on and around campus.

So keep your eyes on the website, it's the online home of the Students Union!
